Automation UK Secures Leading Automation and Robotic System Provider as Founder Exhibitor

The launch of dedicated new automation and robotics exhibition, Automation UK, fulfils a real need for a showpiece event in this important industry, a leading business in the sector has said.

Automation UK is set to be new benchmark exhibition for the UK automation and robotics industry when it launches next year. Highlighting the importance of robotics and systems integration to the future growth of the UK economy, the exhibition takes place at the Coventry Building Society Arena between 20-21st June.

Latest recruit to the ranks of founder exhibitors is leading robotic and automation solutions provider, CKF Systems. The Gloucester-based company has been successfully delivering systems to the manufacturing industry within the UK and internationally for over 30 years. It is now one of the largest UK-based system integrators, designing and manufacturing robotic systems, automated solutions and conveyor systems.

Co-located with the UK Industrial Vision Association’s (UKIVA) Machine Vision Conference (MVC), Automation UK will be the largest annual exhibition of its kind in the UK, showcasing a fantastic array of new technologies, with live demonstrations of the latest machines.

Leading trade body BARA (British Automation & Robot Association) has launched Automation UK to champion the use and development of automation and industrial robots in British industry. Working tandem with the UKIVA, the two bodies share an affinity based on the combined use of vision and robotics within the end-to-end production line process.

Recognising the vast potential of automation and robotics to British industry, BARA’s aim in establishing a dedicated trade show for the sectors is to shine a spotlight on the technologies and to highlight their true value to the wider economy. The event has been specially designed for businesses operating in the automation and robotics markets and will be the largest annual gathering of industry experts under one roof in the UK.

Both BARA and UKIVA are part of the PPMA (Processing and Packaging Machinery Association) group, a coalition that spans the breadth of the automation and robotics sector. The PPMA itself represents and lobbies on behalf of, suppliers of processing and packaging machinery to both the domestic and overseas markets.

One of the event’s founder exhibitors, CKF Systems, said the exhibition fulfilled an important role in helping to facilitate face-to-face meetings between supplier and customer so specific needs could be identified and solutions found.

“We’re delighted to be a founding exhibitor at the launch of the Automation UK exhibition. We’ve been members of PPMA for well over 20 years and we know and trust that any events they host will be extremely well organised and deliver top quality visitors.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors to our stand and sharing the benefits of automation through live demos and video footage of some of our systems in action. Our technical team will be on-hand throughout the show so visitors can discuss their unique needs face-to-face and discover the possibility for their operations.”

Jen Halliday, Marketing Manager, CKF Systems

The must-attend event will provide a unique shop window for the latest industrial products and services, robots, robotic systems, systems integration, automation control parts and systems, sensors and machine safety to an eager array of decision makers, buyers and sellers from across the UK and beyond.

Aside from the live demonstrations, visitors planning their next investment decisions will be able to talk to exhibitors face-to-face about their requirements, while presentations from leading experts in their field will provide valuable latest market intelligence and industry insight.

The PPMA group comprises more than 550 member companies and its unique structure enables it to be the authoritative voice of the automation and robotics sector, and why it delivers such a compelling offer to this new event.

“Securing the support of a leading automation and robotics business such as CKF Systems is a real coup for Automation UK, but it underlines what BARA is hoping to achieve and why there is a real need for an event such as this.”

Mark Stepney, Managing Director of Schubert UK and a PPMA board member
